Autumn in Kentucky means crisp mornings, orange‑tinted hills and the promise of festivals. For Lexington‑area families and businesses alike, Daynabrook Farm in Harrodsburg has become the gold standard for a fall day trip.

What started as a seasonal greenhouse and pumpkin patch has blossomed into a full‑blown agritourism destination complete with amusement rides, a sprawling corn maze, petting zoo, modern cabins and a luxury event barn.
By combining value‑friendly admission with genuine farm hospitality, Daynabrook offers an experience you’ll want to revisit year after year.
Why Daynabrook Is a Must‑Visit Pumpkin Patch
Daynabrook’s pumpkin‑patch season runs from early September through early November. General admission (currently $15 per person ages 3+) includes a long list of activities: pedal cars, playgrounds, inflatables, a small zip line, a corn maze, a wagon ride, a pumpkin to take home, a petting zoo, access to a covered pavilion and a huge “super slide”.

It’s important to note that everything listed above is included in the admission price- it isn’t a la carte nickel‑and‑diming.
An optional $5 ride bracelet buys unlimited rides on the tea cups, swing ride, cowboy ride, train, dizzy disco, carousel and even a small roller coaster. Opening hours vary slightly, but the farm is typically open 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Friday–Saturday and 12–6 p.m. on Sundays.
Daynabrook’s farm credentials go beyond pumpkins. The U‑pick program offers strawberries in May and pumpkins starting in September. A 40,000‑square‑foot greenhouse built in 2019 sits on thousands of acres of family farmland, giving visitors a chance to learn about plant growth, plant a flower or vegetable to take home, and see vegetables grown from seed.
Field‑trip groups and families can tour the greenhouses, ride on farm wagons, explore covered picnic areas with indoor slides and bounce houses, and interact with animals in the petting zoo. This blend of education and entertainment makes Daynabrook a true agritourism experience.
A Value‑Friendly Day Out for Families, Friends and Teams
What sets Daynabrook apart is how much you get for the admission price. We recently tagged along with the Biopathogenix team on a company outing, courtesy of their owner.
For less than the cost of a movie ticket, employees enjoyed a full day of fun: a tractor‑pulled wagon ride through the pumpkin fields, time to explore the corn maze and fair‑style rides, and the opportunity to pick their own pumpkin. With hundreds of varieties on the vine, you truly can find the shape, size and colour you’re after.

In the greenhouse, locally grown mums and seasonal plants fill long tables while an old Case tractor and handmade sign mark the entrance to the pumpkin patch (pictured below). Friends without children found plenty of thrills on the tea cups, swing ride and super slide, while those with kids appreciated the safe play areas and petting zoo.
It’s the kind of corporate gift that fosters camaraderie and doesn’t break the bank.
Built on Hard Work, Heritage and Passion
The Daynabrook story is rooted in decades of farming experience. Originally known as Anderson Circle Farms, the property underwent a transformation when John Lyons and his family took over. Since opening Daynabrook Farm to visitors, the Lyons family has poured heart, sweat and resources into creating a place their daughters—and the entire community—would be proud of.
The 2019 expansion added a 40,000‑sq‑ft greenhouse and opened thousands of acres to agritourism. Being family‑owned for over 25 years means the farm is more than a business; it’s a labour of love that shows in every hand‑painted sign and every friendly greeting.

Daynabrook’s greenhouse and farm market sell fresh, seasonal treats and home‑grown produce. Rows of mums, asters and ornamental cabbages fill the greenhouse with colour; seasonal jams, honey and baked goods line the shelves.
Outside, the corn maze stretches through towering stalks, offering a quiet escape from the rides and music. At sunset, the fields glow orange and gold, and you’ll see families and photographers lining up for that perfect fall snapshot.
More Than Pumpkins: Cabins and the Show Barn
One of Daynabrook’s best‑kept secrets is that you can stay on the farm. Just up the hill from the pumpkin patch are a row of boutique cabins, each with a front porch overlooking the fields.
Waking up here during pumpkin‑picking season means watching mist rise over the rows of pumpkins and catching both sunrise and sunset without ever leaving your porch (see below). It’s a peaceful alternative to a hotel stay, especially if you’re planning a weekend of exploring nearby bourbon distilleries and horse farms.

The cabins are also available as part of the wedding and event packages offered through The Show Barn, a 10,000+ sq ft luxury wedding and event venue set among the Bluegrass hills. Inside, the barn offers climate‑controlled space that can accommodate up to 300 guests and blends rustic charm with refined elegance.
Beyond weddings, the Show Barn hosts retreats and corporate gatherings, and the on‑site cabins mean guests can walk from the reception to their lodgings under the stars. Staying on property keeps everyone together and allows you to fully appreciate the serenity of rural Kentucky.
If you’re dreaming of a fall wedding or planning a company retreat, this venue delivers both convenience and awe‑inspiring views.
